Gianni`s Oven & Grill in Durango

I moved here from NY where I used to get great pizza and wings all over. Since I've moved here I've craved a good pie. I've tried a lot of places and some of them are tasty, but no one has done pizza like these guys. Just what I was looking for as far as pizza. The prices were a little high but when the option are limited I'll happily pay. Staff was friendly, but the place is tough to see if you doubt know where it is, more signage please.

The food was pretty good. It's pretty much the same as Mamas Boy. They were out of several appetizers and other things like Romaine lettuce for salads. The lone waitress couldn't quite keep up with the tables.

Unique little place with very tasty Italian food. Wish they had wine and beer. However, I am now a fan a d will go back soon.

Nice place for a quiet dinner. The food is tasty as well as visually appealing. They offer kid size portions as well. Good garlic bread.

Same recipes from Mama's Boy and great same taste from the past! Wish the old name would be affiliated somehow with this place because not many people know that it is the same family and I think if that was known, this place would be an even bigger hit than it is now! Getting the liquor license would be huge for them also! Great dinner tonight!

Best pizza in town hands down. One of my first stops every time I come into Durango.

Amazing pizza; very fresh ingredients, not greasy, and perfect crust. The staff were also very pleasant. Definitely coming here next time I want pizza.

Eat Italian food around and great service! Only complaint is they can't serve alcohol, but it is still a great place to eat.

Fast and good service. The food is hearty and good sized portions. Needs work on atmosphere.

We've tried to go to this place twice and they were closed before their hours stated. We finally make it in early enough and I ordered the alfredo with chicken. I was shocked to find out it was $20, which again was not listed price. Disappointing to say the least.

Great food and service. No beer or wine is only reason for downgraded rating. They did say that liquor license was coming soon

A little restaurant with tasty pasta options. Hearty portions for a good price. A spot clearly frequented by locals judging by all the take out walk-ins. Waitress did a fantastic job of handling the phone, customers and walk-in’s for take out. She even brought us some extra slices of their amazing garlic bread. My boyfriend had spaghetti and meatballs and I had the baked lasagna. It was delicious!

I'm a long time local - this is the best pizza in town, hands down! Best waitress's in this town. Small family owned. You won't be disappointed.

Wow marinara sauce that tastes like real tomatoes not tomato sauce. Scampi not loaded down in oil and butter. A new fav for me

So happy to have found real Italian- wedding soup. Linguine and clams. NY pizza and caprese was wonderful. Quick service and food even with a full small room and take out orders too. No sign out front-just on the windows. Highly recommend casual.

This place is great. Classic Italian food with a mom and pop kind of feel.

Calzone was awesome!! Waitress was very good but we were one of only two tables at the time, so excellent service. The place could have used an air conditioner, it was a bit warm, but it was July.... Probably don't have that problem most of the year.

Service is slow and the help is extremely rude. Overpriced for mediocre food.

The food is always amazing here. However, a 5 star went to a 3 star review due to the customer service. The last three times I've been there to dine in or pick up an order, A girl in her early 20s has been there each visit and carried a poor attitude every single time . I think I will no longer come to Giannis unless she isn't there. Rude and hateful isn't acceptable for a restaurant

Kind of looks like a diner. But the food was great. Just a little pricey.

My girlfriend and I have been waiting for over an hour for our food server came to tell us 45 mins in that she had lost our ticket so we have to wait even longer for our food

Great food but horrible service and attitude among the employees.. they also rarely answer the phone for takeout orders. I'd suggest J bo's, home slice or Mutu's is the best Italian in town!

A nice inexpensive place for good pizza.

The food was great. Just don't show up at 7:45 pm. Hours say until 9pm open. You should never turn customers away that's what happened to a couple who showed up after use from out of town like us. The guy in the kitchen cooking just giving the evil eye as customers come in for service. Just thought the owner should know.

I honestly dont understand the 5 star reviews. I am guessing the owner places them themselves. I ordered chicken piccata to go. One simple order took over 45 mins. When I arrived there was nobody else dining in the building. I havent left my hotel room in 2 days. Severe food poisoning WARNING ---DINE WITH CAUTION

40 min wait for take out. ONE table was being used in the entire place. Gave me the wrong order. Cooks looked blitzed.Why do you work somwhere you clearly hate? I know its not the money. You aren't open long enough to make any money.

Hole in the wall restaurant with amazingly good Italian food. Small seating area served by one very efficient waitress, and the food is great! Too bad they don't serve beer or wine because they are near a school.

Good Italian food at a great price

Awesome place, nice and warm on a cold winter night. Legit pizza, everything we had was good, a great alternative to Home Slice North.

Went looking for some decent Italian food and waited for 45 minutes. (There was maybe 10 people in the restaurant including us) Asked the waiter what was taking so long and was told our order takes longer due to what we ordered (Shrimp scampi and chicken fettuccine alfreado) so 15 minutes later our food finally comes out and everything is bland. Honestly would have gotten better quality food at McDonald’s down the road. Waiter did take the drinks off because of the wait so that was good.

Absolutely Excellent. Good stuff guys. The shrimp appetizer was freakin' amazing and the pizza was so good. New York Style pizza here in the 4 corners, finally... thank you!!!!

Great food, stuff that you'll crave later. Close in the middle of the day, so you have to plan for it.

I love Gianni’s! The food is consistently great, and the service couldn’t be friendlier. Whether it’s the lasagna, pizza, or ravioli, I can count on it to be great- every time. The pizza is definitely the best in town by far. It’s real and authentic, which is surprising for this small town. I also love that it’s a small, locally-owned family business. Gabby is the best!

Down to earth prompt service with excellent quality and consistency.

The lunch menu is very limited. They don't give you a whole lot of selection and I feel like the wait staff wishes they could be anywhere but at work. The food itself isn't bad per se but it's not great for Italian either.

Amazing every time

We just found this place today! They have been here 3 years. I figured with a name like Gianni’s it had to to be the realdeal Italian. I was wonderful! Have have not had wedding soup like that since I was back east! The pizza was perfect as well.
